Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Guys,

I've started cycling as part of my efforts to loose some weight.

I've noticed that standing on the pedals when going up 'hills' and dancing like contador:rolleyes: 'burns' much more than sitting on the hills.

my question is, i find no matter what my starting gear is, I have to change up a gear when I'm about to stand up not to pedal like a child on a trike once I do stand up. Do others find this?

    thanks

Yup. Sometimes 2 or 3 shifts. Depending on the length and steepness of the hill.

It is less efficient, so over a long period you are better off sitting down.
