And give smug cünts even more youtube videos to post up of inane Hicks chatter instead of actually giving their own opinion on a subject? Ah, no thanks…

Damn, I wish I hadn't given this smug cúnt a chance to post up his inane chatter instead of actually giving his own opinion :(

I actually did give my opinion. I was actually not referring to you as a smug cünt - I should have made that more clear so apologies about that. Bill Hicks was mildly amusing but I'll be happy to live the rest of my life without someone posting up one of his insights into marketing, smoking, drugs and the gulf war. Seriously there are way better comics out there - check out David Cross and Louis CK. Now those guys rock and they're alive!!!

I'll be honest and say hero worship doesn't really do it for me (again not directed at you). It's not like every recording of a person magically disappears when they die, you can still listen to their music, films etc.. There's always that chestnut of 'think what they could have done!' and I always think 'They could have gotten really shít, at least we didn't have to experience that...'

John Lennon is a prime example. People always hold him up as the innovator and the one that forged ahead in the Beatles and that's true to a certain extent but the people who say he could have done amazing things if he hadn't died obviously never heard Double Fantasy - it's even more syrupy than Macca! What was stretching out in front of Lennon was a decade of the same schmaltzy crap McCartney made in the eighties after McCartney II and before he tried to actively re-engage with his muse sometime in the 90s
