If you need windows as well its gonna be difficult. Otherwise this would work:

    Total build cost: €272.32 + €30 shipping
    AMD Athlon II X3 450 "Boxed" 95W, Sockel AM3 €60.77
    MSI 770-C45, AM3 €45.57
    4GB-Kit Kingston ValueRAM PC3-10667U CL9 €21.41
Xigmatek Asgard, ATX, ohne Netzteil, schwarz €31.61
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 450W €41.25
Samsung SH-222AB bare schwarz SATA €16.79
    Gigabyte Radeon HD 5670 OC, 1024MB DDR3, PCI-Express €54.92

What are you using for a monitor though? And what's its max resolution?

No idea Solitaire, the machine is for my uncle. The case, HD's and other stuff will be from stuff I have lying around. He has a working screen but I think we need another one so I will scavenge one from work or something like that

But as times goes by a new screen will be bought, for 150 you can get some decent 21" screens so should be fine in the long run

Remember that with a small old monitor at 1024 or 1280 he'll get x FPS, on a 1920 he'll get about x/2 FPS. If you plan on upgrading to full def later then buy a better GPU now.

24" screens are less than 150 now

    20 inch very cheap

every an old 19inch trinitron CRT for 30 or free would be great for gaming

an extra 40 euros would get you an ATI 5770 or 6770 graphics card which is double the FPS (of the 5670) and quite a nice little machine
