Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Photo assignment no. 64- Lens flare

    I know that lens flare is probably avoided in some cases by photographers but it can also be used to benefit a photo. There are several ways that it does this, it can add balance to a subject in the frame, it can add colour, it can even just simply make a picture more interesting. So this challenge has one main requirement- the photo must contain a lens flare of some kind. I have examples below incase it is not clear what I mean. A flare as I mean it is either the hexagonal/ circular light reflection or the burning line from a bright light such as the sun (example no. 03 has both). With this in mind I have checked the weather and it seems we are all due a few bits of sunshine in the next week (Im an optimist!). Using the sun is not necessary- some people with more know how of their cameras may be able to create it with artificial light.

    The rules:
    -Photos must be posted within 2 weeks of the day the task was set– so the closing time/date is midnight on the 10th going on 11th of August 2011.
    -No old photos. Only photos taken with this task in mind qualify.
    -Therefore, the photo must be taken after 1.00am on the 28th July 2011.
    -Photos must be on the given task.
    -ONE photo per post. But submit as many posts as you like.
    -Stretch yourself – there is no limitation to what you can do to produce the image.
    -The next task/subject is to be chosen by the person who has the most thanks after their post at the closing date/time (the post must include a photo).
    -Only minor PP allowed, i.e. the flare must be created taking the picture. I think anything else would be quite obvious anyway!
