€100. Where did the exams office pluck this figure from? this is expected to be paid on top of the money you owe for the repeats themselves. Charging this fee to students of all people is ridiculous.

It was on the repeat exam info sheet that was sent out with the results a month ago, and deadline was a week later as said on the sheet. I'm sure the reason its there is to get people to register for the repeats as soon as possible and they probably let people away with it if it was a few days late but over month i can understand why they would considering there is many people wanting the timetable by now

    Rules are rules.

Also. Students of all people? You mean students in a country where all you pay is a measly €2500 per year of University? As opposed to the US, UK where many students end up leaving with high end five figure debt?

Handy savers tip; Study next time. And if it was beyond your control, such as some medical issue or otherwise, it's just bad luck.

Ah the auld we have it better than others debate. Measly to some, remember it's all subjective ;)

Well they can't charge a late fee for exam repeats to a non-student, can they?
    :p

They clearly state that the late fee is 100 euro. Though I do think the 1 week limit to pay is a bit short. A post office balls up could easily feck you over.

They'd waive it in that case, they're fairly easy going over there. I understand that they have to have a deadline and all but it is ridiculous you have to pay 100 euro if you're late. They should change it to say that if you're late there is no guarantee that your exams will be timetabled properly, for example you might end up with 3 in one day. That's punishment enough.

Sure was the deadline for applying for repeats not July 15th? Slightly more then a week after the results came out.

I haven't been able to pay for my repeat because I literally haven't had the money until now, but when I tried to go and pay it online all that keeps coming up is my statement? I didn't receive any repeat form at all with my results. I was working abroad at the time and just had to repeat an assignment which I submitted on Blackboard. Feeling very worried, can anyone advise me please?

Contact your department and the exams office if you're worried.

i've only really thought about the payment now. Im pretty sure the fee is only 60 per exam(up to four i think, then no charge for more) dont quote me on that i could be very wrong. I thought it was once you register for repeats you owe the fee, i didnt think the late charge was because you didnt pay the fee.
I got shafted with it because my reg form never got there, I had no proof of postage or anything and I didn't think to check if I was registered until it was too late. Tough luck for me, I had no great excuse for failing so I cant complain, the extra 100 is just salt in the wound, or perhaps the wound itself...?!
I do agree with it, most people have at least an inkling as to if they might have failed and should have plenty of time to register for them, avoiding the 100 extra.
or am i wrong that the late fee is only for registering late, not for late payment?

    oh and
Dermo: " Well they can't charge a late fee for exam repeats to a non-student, can they?"
what now? if someone isnt a student, what are they doing exams for? or is someone no longer a student ;) results won't be released until fee's are paid :(
