Confused. Grant?

I understand that the non-adjacent grant has been increased from 24km to 48km.
Last year I claimed a non-adjacent grant. This year, I shall be claiming an adjacent grant. And I know. That sucks.
But how do I find out how much I'm actually getting this year compared to last year?
Maybe I'm just not educated enough on this new system, of sorts.
Please can someone direct me to, or be kind enough to inform me, on the 2011 student grant scheme.

Special Rate of Maintenance Grant
For the award of a special rate of maintenance grant in respect of the 2011/2012 academic year, the reckonable income (for the period 1st January, 2010 to 31st December, 2010, the tax year 2010) shall not exceed €22,703 net of standard exclusions(as set out in Clause 1 of this scheme). This reckonable income must include one of the Social Welfare Payments listed in Schedule 2 of the Higher Education Grant Scheme for 2011
