Cheers Bill..., have a GTRS Vboy 200 on order from FT, I understand that they use a stripped down version of the YiHi (sp??) chip,will be interesting to compare the two.

The chip in the Vboy is excellent,I have 2 of them,the build quality of the mod itself is questionable. I had terrible problems with my first one,damn battery door kept opening and batteries falling out,after some investigation it turned out to be a common fault in the version 1 which I had and still have. I hounded GTRS about the problem till eventually they agreed to send me an upgraded version 2 battery door,which they duly did,in fact they sent me 10 of them in various colours. Let me know what colour yours is and I'll send one onto you also. I also picked up the version 2 Vboy at an Expo in the UK, no problems with the battery door but the paint finish on it is dreadful and I've had problems with the seal around the 510 pin and the pin spring. It's a relatively easy mod to strip down so these issues I sorted myself.
Apologies I don't want to put a dampner on your purchase,it is a very good mod and I guess I was just unlucky with it being the first batch of each version which I got.

Ya, I read about the problems with the initial release so confirmed with FT that I'll be getting the version 2. For about 50 euro I recon it's good value however I've seen some sites selling them for 100 plus, not sure if it would be worth that sort of money...., will keep you posted.

Really enjoying the Aromamizer BTW! Now that I think of it it might work well with the Vboy!

It's good value for 50 and the Aromanizer will just fit on the vboy. I have one on the other vboy here.

The bestshop is the best place for a cheap mech,here's the link https://www.thebestshop.eu/shop/27-vv-mods scroll down to the bottom of page & you will see half a dozen mechs for around the tenner...
