A cd of Noel demos has been sold on the market and it contains some new unheard songs. Here's hoping the buyer shares it with the fan community.

It's the cd where'Oh Lord!' comes from.

    Fingers crossed lads!!

There's a fine line between influence and downright plagiarism!!

Sounds pretty "Sweet" to me (To Block Buster!)

Then turns into his own Mucky Fingers

But sure we're used to this from Noel by now :)

there's 4 unheard songs on that cd, two of which have been leaked this week. One of the others is Come On It's Alright which was supposed to be on Dig Out Your Soul but Liam never bothered laying a vocal track for it so it got left off. With these 4 songs, Freaky Teeth, Revolution Song plus everything left over from the aborted AA sessions Noel has pretty much the bones of a new album ready to go

I'd kill to her the 1998 recording of Noel demoing 'Lets' All Make Believe'

Along with Liam signing on 'Setting Sun'

these collectors buy these rare recordings then sit on them indefinitely while constantly teasing everybody that they have them. There's been a lot of talk lately about the 1998 demos and rumours about a very early mix of Definitely Maybe coming onto the market from sometime in 1993 before The Real People became involved.

The one that interests me the most is there Be Here Now demos, only 30 seconds each of Dont Go Away and All Around the World with Noel doing guide vocals have surfaced by a collector proving that he has them.

The aborted Death in Vegas sessions for the album that became Don't Believe the Truth would be nice to hear aswell but nothing has ever surfaced, Stop the Clocks, Record Machine, Good Rebel, Revolution Song, Ain't Got Nothing, The Roller, Boy With the Blues, Wont Let You Down, were all rumoured titles back in 2005 and all of them have since being released by either Oasis, Noel or Beady Eye

The newly leaked track 'Just Let It Come Down Over Me' is a really good track, love the harmonica.

great to finally hear this track after 4 years or so, this could easily have made Dig Out Your Soul a much better album.

another demo from 92/93 has been sold recently to the fan community and it will be released on Tuesday or Wednesday the track list is

    Bring It on Down
    two versions of Columbia
    Rock N' Roll Star
    Strange Thing
    Lock All the Doors
    Must Be the Music
    Fade Away
    Alive
    Cloudburst
    Comin on Strong
(vocals by Liam, demo version of what became Noel's "Setting Sun" collaboration with Chemical Brothers)
    and two short tracks

So all in all we're being spoiled the last few weeks with 4 new demos from Noel and an old demo from 92/93 plus with Beady Eye's new album to come around the summer

Noel Gallagher is set to play a brand new song and a number of Oasis songs he's never played before at his Teenage Cancer Trust concert that takes place at the Royal Albert Hall later this month.

Speaking to Sky Sports 'Fantasy Football Club' about playing new songs at the annual event he said. "I might do one new song, I'm going to be doing songs I have never done before, but that's not to say they are new songs. I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do yet, I'm not doing the same thing as I done, I did eleven gigs in London last year so I cant really get away with the same set.

He also spoke about collaborating with Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon at the event. The former Oasis man said "Damon and Graham are going on before me doing something, they told me what they are doing the other night but I cant remember what they said. But it's special though, unique".

When asked about collaborating with the pair on stage he said "We spoke about it the other night at the Brits, but I cant remember what we decided we were going to do, cause Champagne was involved".

Fingers crossed Noel will play some Oasis songs he's never actually played before and not just songs he played years ago and since forgotten about!

he's playing a warm up for that gig in Dubai tomorrow so we might get a taster of what's in store. Richard Ashcroft is supporting him tomorrow so the Arabs are getting spoiled with the two biggest musical geniuses of the last 20 years in one night

Shout It Out Loud! Brilliant, thought that would be forever buried in b-side limbo. First time playing Lord Don't Slow Me Down as well. Can't wait for a bootleg

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,815 ✭✭✭Hannibal

Shout it Out Loud is a big plus, probably one of his best b-sides and should no doubt have been played on the Heathen Chemistry tour all them years ago. Lord Dont Slow Me Down is an under rated track so good to see that aswell and also a welcome return for Digsys Dinner its the first time this has been played since 1995 when Noel played Don't Look Back in Anger for the first time and also Tony McCarroll's last gig as drummer

Noel played a storming version of 'Digsy's Dinner' at the Teenage Cancer Trust gig a few years back.

so he did and I actually have it buried on my hard drive, i forgot all about that. That was the gig he done with Gem a few months after he left Oasis

Shout It Out Loud live for the first ever, sounds pretty good. It only took him 11 years to give it a blast

First live performance on Alone on the Rope, this song was strangely only available to buy off Amazon in Germany as a bonus track with the High Flying Birds album. Noel or anybody hasn't even mentioned it so far but here it is

Latest rant - fiction novels are a waste of time.

    That's funny coming from a man who admits his own songs are about nothing;
