Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Buy a Berlin Welcome Card as soon as you get there. This gives you unlimited travel on all trains (U Bhan & S Bhan), trams, and buses in the city as well discounts to over 200 attractions. If you're flying into Schoenfeld Airport you can buy it there and it covers the cost of your trip into town. A 72 hour card costs about €25 and really offers good value as well as cutting out the hassle of rooting for change to buy seperate tickets every time you get a tram etc.

Don't miss a visit to the top of the tv tower for the best views over the city.

The Checkpoint Charlie Museum is also a must.

Berlin is a great city. I envy you going tomorrow.

I went to the former Stasi headquarters (now a museum) and thought it was class. It's all in German, and a bit out of the way, but they've kept all the offices etc as they were. It's liking traveling back in time. You can even get tea and cakes to eat in the common room, at knock-down Iron Curtain prices!
