    hello there,

    looking for a some advice re. cost of developing a ecommerce site for project perpuses. how much does it cost to set up sites of varying degrees of functionality and keep them maintained on a daily basis ie littlewoods, amazon, ebay, play, etc.

    and what sort of technical resources would be needed ie servers etc

    cheers.

    Depends on so many factors. A basic, one man show, about €50 a year for the domain and the hosting (server) costs. If you wanted something bigger, you'd be looking at possibly dedicated hosting. The main issue with ecommence is inventory, it can take weeks to upload all your stock etc.
