Rainbow,Carew,O'Hara,Paul Curran,Shane Curran etc linked and Aidan O'Rourke inches away from getting appointed. Cunningham would be a big step up from all of those mediocre names.

The money saved on travel expenses alone could fund a gym facility for the year

After all that, looks like its now going to be Anthony Cunningham. Would you call him an inside/outside manager??

Looks like he will be named the new Roscommon manager tonight.

Should have lost the galway final the first day out ref won it for them. Coopers crokes would be favs

    Not really.

Clann have been really inconsistent all year. In the first half against the Gaels they were brutal. They lost to Strokestown too. If they played like that against Brigids they would have been given a hammering.

It's only a year ago that Brigid's drew with Corofin.

They were very close to getting beat in the Galway final.

As i said before from what i see of Corofin they only hammer poorly organized teams and Clann today was that. Clann also looked like a team that hadn't trained since winning the county final. Corofin are as fit if not fitter than most county teams and their pace can destroy teams that give them loads of room to play.

Noel Flynn is the new Strength & Conditioning coach. Mark Dowd and Ian Daly are the new selectors.

20 year old Conor Shanagher has apparently been forced to retire from the game due to severe concussions. He was the under 20 captain this year and famously scored two goals in the 2015 Hogan cup final for Roscommon CBS . He had received a bad injury in semi final vs Galway and hasn't played for county since.

He had looked a shoe in to be brought into the senior squad next year given Roscommon's lack of numbers in midfield for the 2019 season.

Yeah Shanagher has had to call time on playing GAA.He has been told to stop playing any contact sports.

He was concussed in club game in September and that led to more tests.

sad for the poor fella, he was a mighty young player, I think we might be seeing more of this sort of thing in the future with the belts that are going in these days,

Thats a ****ing joke, all the money spent on Bekan should have been split between the province to build their own CoE.Over 10 million spent on it now.
2m to each CB in the province would have been super, obviously money only allocated when proper plans in place(Our CB would otherwise no doubt mess it up)

Its a great facility but is underused and no county teams really want to use it bar Mayo.

They are building one in Castlebar ,out around the hospital.
It's in conjunction with the County council afaik.

Roscommon GAA should have done the same around Ros town and not overpaid for a farm in rural Oran

Who owned the land before the CB bought it?

Not going to name names but it wasn't a nod and a wink deal.

CB actually tried to get out of the deal afterwards.

How long are we actually hearing about this now?
I would say a generation of players have come through the system since this farm was first bought by the CB.

Probably around 10 years at this stage. There will be something built there but id doubt it will be what the original plans were.
It was an impressive set up but our CB probably haven't anything close to the money needed to fund the full set up.
