    Wont be long now id say before theres a few sparks here in Galway City.Air is so heavy and humid and massive downpour right now with a very deep purple and red looking sky.I hope it gets itself overwith and clears so i can sleep comfortably later:).

    Some Torrential downpours overnight. A total of 10.4mm of rain has fallen so far. The max rainfall rate was 144.0mm/ph recorded at 7am which is a station record.

    That was the heaviest rain I've heard for a long time. It sounded like a tropical downpour.
