Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was looking at at nice 990 for restoration project.
No tax book though. What are the implications?
Could I take it on the road for tractor runs and so on?
    How about insurance?
If there a problem, how do i go about fixing it?

    thanks in advance

Has it a registration number? If so, contact your local authority motor tax office. The original one, held by the previous owner may have been lost or perhaps the tractor was not taxed for many years.

If it has no registration number, then you will need to register it if you are taking it on the road.

You cannot bring it onto the road (public place) without having it insured. Tractor insurance, Third Party only is not expensive, if you are a farmer and using it for farming purposes. If you are intending to use it for commercial or ag contracting, the premium would be higher.

Parts seem to be fairly easy to come by- but are pricey.
You *need* to know how many hours on the clock........

You're taking a risk buying a tractor from a private buyer, price around some of the local garages for a reconditioned tractor with a guarantee, you'll be far better off
