Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    All gains greatly appreciated. 1:48 for the Charelville half on Sunday. Great course. Definite PB track. That time puts me down as the same VDot as a 3:45 marathon runner which I am most definitely not. Well not yet anyway. I like this Daniel's fellas optimism but I think I will stick with McMillan for preidiction on the longer stuff.

    The calculator doesn't go below 4:45 for the marathon. Even if it did I would refrain from messng up your nice table with a single digit VDOT:)

    Sounds good.
    What is the etiquette about putting poorer recent races on the board?
    i.e. Everyone agrees that marathon distances are too negative regarding VDot. Is it ok to leave your best of the year on the board until you improve on it??
    (i.e. I don't want to go plummetting down the table!!):p

    us beginners have a long way to go

    My times don't even give a Vdot vlaue :( i.e. <30 Oops, but I'm close so should be able to get a vdot value in next few weeks.. guess improvement is much easier when your starting from nothing :D

    not sure what/if I should add to the table; my VDOT results from last year (using http://fellrnr.com/wiki/VDOT_Calculator):

    July|5m|38.1
    August|10m|42.3
    September|13.1m|40.6
    October|DCM|38
    December|5k|45.8

    The 5m in July was my first ever race
    The half I ran with 1:50 pacers, 5 minutes slower than predicted by MM
    DCM with 4:00 pacers, also slower than predicted by MM

    No worries Timmay, stick in your own new figure when you race, I just put in everyones last recorded Vdot into the 2012 slot, I'm sure a few people will be changing them about.

    Ok, gonna joing this. My last 2 races are a 52.3 (5k) and a 51.6 (HM). Gonna say 52. The aim will be to hit 54/55 by the end of the year.
