Recommend me a safe?

Im looking to get a new safe, the one I have at the minute is the cheapest one I could get that met the BS standards. But now Im on the market for a good safe. I want something that can hold 4 guns (comfortably) and it has to be fireproof. And I want it to be a good quality and sturdy build... the kind of thing you'd hit with a sledge and maybe just scuff the paint work a bit

There doesnt appear to be a whole lot on offer...


Probably being a bit unrealistic now with this, but waterproof would be a nice little extra, incase the river burst the banks and floods the house again

I dont see any mention of fireproof? And the steels only 2mm thick? I was hoping to get something measured in inches and not milimeters.

And traumadoc, any chance of a link. Im on the kimber website and Im not seeing any safes. Although I do see some very nice rifles

I got a shop soiled Vogue gun safe for small money.
Not sure about waterproof, but I am sure it would be easy enough to make a door gasket

there are shelves and an internal lock box, handy for passport etc storage

It's double-skinned!
Good luck in finding what you're after - The Vogue was the best safe I could find at the time!

Go to a fabrication works and ask them to make one to your specs , made of 8 or 12 mm steel , there are works in every town nearly and all stuck for work. I think all safes use a simple 5 lever deadlock and you can buy those in any hardware.
Best of luck moving the thing around though.

Check out this bad boy! i bought one a few weeks back. great company to deal with the safe is a seriously nice piece of kit. i could barely lift it on my own.
