Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ran out of hen meal yesterday and as our local feed place was closed i went to equip*t the same bag of layers pellets was €16:eek: i pay €11.50 normally now here is the real rip off a 5kg bucket of grain was €9.99 so for a tonne of that grain it would cost €2000! think there is a niche market there for some one! I didnt buy it , would normally just fill a bag in local place and bring it home for free

Lady I know just feeds her laying hens oats, reckons the layer pellets are no good for the eggs. I've eaten her eggs and brought them to other people, always to rave reviews.

Pulled into a filling station and saw buckets of chicken manure for sale. Fancy printed buckets same size as mineral licks for cattle.
Somebody is probably making a tidy bit from that game. Fair play is what I say

we have buff orpington (sp) pullets they are around 22 weeks and we have not gotten any eggs off them yet , some one suggested the oats to hurry them up a bit , so will see how it goes

put them in a dark shed for 3 or 4 days and then let them out to the light they should start laying then.cooked wheat gives the best eggs you can get it in 25kg bag.
