i want to get something mailed to me without giving a home or work address. It is a one off letter that could be sent anytime over a month long period so it might not be the best idea to get a P.O box due to cost for one letter. Is there any service that will get a letter for me and forward it onto my current address?

If you Google "mail drop service" you'll find a couple of sites (though they all seem to be the same Dublin-based company) advertising what you want, but at a price. Such services don't come cheap, but do seem less expensive than a P.O. box.
