1TB Hard Drive for Humax Foxsat for €35?

I think the key thing is that it is Green Power (low rpm, low power consumption) drive. There are some minor differences, check the WD site, but I've seen many people use these successfully.

I ordered one, received it on Friday and put it in, it was an easy install and it's working great. Unless it crashes, I'm very happy, I tripled my Humax Foxsat storage for only €35.

Can anyone confirm the 1TB Western Digital Hard Disk WD10EACS will work in a Humax Foxsat. There's one going for €35, certainly worth the upgrade if it works.
    See thread on bargain alerts:

Any chance of letting us know where is selling the HD for that? The link you've included is coming up as ''Invalid Thread Specified''. Thanks.

I saw the original link in a Boards Bargain Alerts thread, but that thread seems to have been deleted. Here's a link to the site selling them:
    https://disks.myshopify.com/products/1tb-western-digital-hard-disk
I have some concerns as to why the link was deleted, but I received my drive very fast and so far it's working great.

Why delete a thread? Why not delete offending post(s) and lock? Now we'll never know what the problem was.

I agree completely, but a lot of strange things happen on Boards now and again, maybe talk to the Mods.

Anyway, I can honestly say I have no affiliation with this crowd, I just saw the original post in Bargain Alerts and so far I'm very happy. Very fast delivery and all is working perfectly so far. The seller also had a Board account and had replied to the original post, I can't remember his name, but I suspect if you email him, he might be able to tell you what happened.

Once again, so far I'm very happy with the purchase, but I'll update here if I have any issues.

theyre second hand harddisks so its always a risk. They'd be grand for storing stuff that is no great loss if you loose it like TV recordings but I wouldn't buy one as a data disk in my PC.
