I think UPC is selling our email addresses

I set up an email that was used only to deal with UPC. I didn't enter it anywhere except on the UPC site. I just checked that email address and there is a ton of spam email. About 12 in my inbox and 60 in my spam folder. Could they be selling our email addresses? Or could all of these come from someone guessing an email…

UPC aren't selling your email address.
