Just wanted some peoples opinions on it personally and how they benefit. I have been looking at dd-wrt and tomatousb. Im using a linksys E3000. Do you keep all the old features with these firmwares? I still need my ftp and guest account to name a few. Any insights would be appreciated.

Once you flash the router you will be completely erasing the stock firmware (you can always revert back to it). I'm running Tomato on a WRT54G and very happy with it. I'm pretty sure that TomatoUSB doesn't support guest networks but (according to this tutorial) ddwrt does. Sorry haven't a clue about ftp.
