6 wireless routers with one password

    Mods, I'm posting here rather than Wireless as everything there seems to relate to home users and single devices.

    Have a wireless network with the setup as follows

    6 D-Link DIR-300 wireless routers
    All have the same SSID and WPA2 password.

    If the password needs to be changed, is there a way this be done centrally once rather than remote into each one individually and have to change it on each of the 6 ?

    I suppose we are talking about WPAx password and not the login admin details...

    What you'll need is a RADIUS server.There are free or chargeable solutions...
    But even there is a management of "passwords" for each user using the server via WiFi.

    Also,you can buy a proper WiFi router that has built-in RADIUS and use it as the central hub in a hub-and-spoke configuration with other six WiFi APs.

    Why all routers and not 1 router and the rest just access points?

    A RADIUS server is not an option. This is a small college with a DC and a fileserver. There is no day to day administration so I don't want to complicate things any further.

    To be honest, for what you're describing, a RADIUS server makes things easier, not more complicated. Install FreeRADIUS on a box somewhere and point the APs to it. Quite simple, and FreeRADIUS works right out of the box.

    Can't be done easily with that architecture; the APs would have to know how to talk to one another and maintain a distributed database of usernames and passwords and MAC addresses.
    Whereas if you set up a RADIUS server, what you want is a normal standard task.
