Just noticed that when you have your current account set up to pay off a loan via direct debit with AIB and you don't have sufficient funds in your current account on the date the payment is to be made, they charge a €10 late fee.
But then they try to take the payment out of your account a second time the next day, and if the funds still aren't available they charge a second €10 late fee. Very cheeky to double charge people in the space of two days, knowing full well if the money isn't there on payment date, it's unlikely to have gone in by the next day.

Ensure u have funds in the account to meet loan or else change the date of the loan so payment comes out same day your wage goes through

In an ideal world, of course, but events conspire against me sometimes with different bills and whatever. Don't have a problem getting charged a fee for missing a repayment but just don't think they should be implementing the charge on consecutive days
