Hey, just wondering if anyone knows which course would look better to prospective employers a FETAC level 6 course or a Diploma course accredited by the Institute of Commerical Managment (not a postgrad dip). The FETAC course is over 3 days and is approx 25 hours. The Dip course is over 12 weeks but that is broken down to 3hrs one day a week (36 hrs).

Is there a difference between them with regard to the NFQ?

You're probably doing the Diploma in a private college, yeah?

Tbh, it depends on what job you're going for. ICM = short term skill based, project management etc, web design. Wont count towards another degree. Counts as a 'top up skill', ie, if you have a degree/a lot of experience in something, an ICM course can help make your skills more current/refresher.

However, if you want to re-train or the job you want is in a field which requires a degree then you need to consider that the FETAC will give you credits/an education path.

What field are you intersted in?

    Moved from Graduate to College.
