Pushing down two LNB feed over 1 cable

Hi,

Just wondering has anybody here tried using LNB combiner/multiplexers to push down 2 LNB feeds over 1 (good quality) cable?

Would the quality be good enough for HD?

Forget my diseqc switch!

I thought you were going for two different sat postions!

You can get a dual core cable!

That would mean just one cable running through the house and split at either end... Into the two inputs of the lnb and in the two tuners of the sky+ box...

Seen that cable around the net, ill have a look later..

I cant rerun the cable. I have to push it down over the existing cable. Think this might do the job. Anybody ever used them?

yep! Stacker/Destacker, i used this very one from satellite.ie on crappy coax cables in my apartment block for Sky + and got it to work very well. Not 100% quality but not far off... Good buy!

Stacker destacker will work as previous poster said but you will need a fairly good cable minimum of rg6 to get it work properly, however some thomson hd boxes dont like them so steer clear of them.

I've used them with an early Thomson HD box, over crappy cable. Had problems with some channels on the second feed, but still better than a single feed. However, best avoided, if possible.
