Could anyone recommend where to get British Military medals valued?
    Thanks

Not sure TBH, you could try to get a few photos of them and post them here.
Somone might be able to help!

Don't Forget to Phtograph the Rim!
or at least read it and retype what is stamped in it (unit, name, rank etc...)

condition will play a big part in value but the Medal Yearbook 2011 will give you the current prices, after that I would be inclined to seek opinions maybe from the dealers at places like the teachers club or you could try the Medal Society of Ireland

I would post up the details here, there are enough collectors here to give you an opinion and a retail valuation.

    Thanks everyone for replies.

    Here are some pictures.

Theres a DSO with bar (Africa ww1) and a set of RAF medals from WW2. They were awarded to members of my family and my father has the letters supporting them.

My father wants to sell these medals. Can anyone recommend where they might be sold or who to deal with? I am working on the assumption we'd need to go to the UK and go to auction.

    THANKS

What a lovely grouping, you could try DIx Noonan Webb or Spinks both in the UK who do regular auctions and medals like these would fit exactly into there sales list to maximise there value. You could also try the Kerry auction rooms who sell militaria on a regular basis or try the bigger auction houses of Adams or Whyte's.One of these may help with valuation.

I have to agree with Arnhem, DNW or Spink are the best in London where they would receive the best exposure.BTW that is not a second award bar for tha DSO in the pics, that is the top suspension bar,a second award bar has the ornamentation of a crown on it.The citation for the DSO would influence the value,as will the recipients personal details, awards to an Irish born man usually command a better price.

Thanks for that - someone else also advised me about the bar. I was just going on what I'd heard from family. Good to have you guys advising me as I haven't a clue about this stuff.
