Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all

I had an interview about 3 weeks ago and got offered the job. Its a maternity leave of 12 hours per week. I accepted it.

I had another interview today for a maternity leave, full time, closer to my home and basically for the year. Im obviously going to take this job but I am nervous about breaking the news to the other principal. Is this a common situation for principals?

Don't be worried at all.... he should have a panel from the interview process that he can fall back on and should understand about the job no hassle. Best of luck!

Ya, it happens fairly often, I wouldn't worry about it. Any decent principal will know that for a job on full hours close to time v. half hours away from home , a teacher will take the former.

Thanks guys I just wasnt sure if it was something that would be common for principals or not.. Im sure he has a panel from the interviews yeah.. and Im giving him a months notice so I suppose its not all that bad! It will make someone happy being offered the job anyways..Thanks!

Slightly distant from your particular situation but we've all felt loyalty towards principals in our time, not least the ones who genuinely do look after us, but there hasn't been a summer in my career that I haven't gone back to work to see a colleague or two you thought would never leave moving on for career reasons.

You have to look out for number one in this world and every single principal understands that...how did they get to where they are?!
