Just wondering what the average time would be from submitting a online application to actually receiving the card. For arguments sake say everything goes smoothly i.e. submit application, receive forms in the post, fill out and return on the same day.

A lot of it depends on the time of year you apply. Typically the summer and coming up to Christmas are the most popular times that people apply. I'd say at this time of year you'd probably be looking at around 2 weeks until you have the card in your hand.
