Does anyone have any tips on removing a large upvc window (1.8m x 2.4m) without doing to much damage to the walls and frame

    cheers

If it was installed as a replacement it should be easy enough, remove window board & hack away some internal plaster around the frame.
An original window would be the same but will need a bit more plaster removed.
If this seems like too much work remove the glass and chop up the frame.

Remove glazing slips and glass. cut up frame into a few bits and take out. imple as. if you want to save the frame get the depth of the frame mark a point out at that depth from the bottom of the window on the outside chase the reveal from that point up to the top corner so gives you a wedge shape. run a small grinder up the inside of window (tight to it). this will hopefully cut any straps that may be there. when theglass is out you should then be able to wedge the window over (away from where you cut out reveal) and then flex window out this usually works for replacements if the normal spacing is left around windowand saves pulling out window board leaving any remedial work to the outside. however i can safely say nearly every window needs something a little different based on the way it was fitted.
