Battaglin Start or Felt F85??

    The usual beginners thread I'm afraid.

    There was a mix up when ordering my new road bike. To apologise for this Wiggle offered me the Felt F85 for the same price as the Battaglin Start.

    So is that much difference between these bikes? The Felt is on sale at around €1000, but doesn't seem to have that much better parts. It has microshift shifters (which from reading around are not meant to be great), but shimano front and rear derailleurs and cassette and a carbon seat post, but seem to have weird white no-name brakes.

    The Battaglin has mostly compagnolo components. And seems good all around for the price.

    If it was purely on aesthetics I prefer the Felt as I like the carbon/green paintjob, but if the shifters aren't comparable to the Battaglin not sure I'd like it.

    Any advice / opinions?
