I'd let that lad keep talking...He's making a fool of himself with his lack of understanding. When I see some of the nonsense and rubbish he's posting I remember that every year Dublin implode (sorry, they were never good enough anyway) given the weight of the expectation laid on them.

    Has anything changed this year?

by that same token dublin hasn't really met a challenging team yet either, both played tyrone and kildare, dublin played wexford, donegal played derry, dublin played laois, donegal played cavan and antrim

the most donegal have conceded in 70 minutes of play this year is 10 points and that was last time out against kildare and it took them till the fourth minute of injury time to get that

tyrone only managed 9 points against them, derry just 8

Tickets.ie is perfectly safe. Print at home tickets for Season Ticket holders are issued by Tickets.ie and not Ticketmaster. The GAA link to Tickets.ie from their own site. Face value with no booking fee - can't go wrong.

Could argue that was before they had their defensive system working to it's full potential.

tickets.ie are safe and I got my tickets last weekend for Kerry V Limerick from them, they are the GAA's chosen online ticketing partner now also. Ticketmaster are a ripoff with fees and I suspect the GAA got sick of their antics and pulled the plug on them. tickets.ie are selling the tickets at their face value without the charges of ticketmaster and are an Irish company.

I see the Dubs hype machine is already in over drive, they beat a pretty poor Tyrone team last night, could'nt believe how bad their full-back line was.

Donegal will be a whole different ball game, Brogan x2 and Connolly will get very little room against the blanket defence in the semis, take the Kildare game for example, Connolly scored 0-00, B. Brogan scored 0-01 from open play when they had little space.

I fancy Donegal to win by 2 or 3 points in a very low scoring game.

I'm not arguing the fact that they conceded them scores.

Arguing the fact that it could be said they aren't totally relevant to the upcoming game, as we all know teams use the league to get their team in order for the championship. I don't think Donegal even had the system in order when they played Antrim in Ballybofey. So it stands to reason that they would concede that much then, but not now they have found a system that works.

Listening to the radio this morning and chuckled as the editor of the Indo and a few other know it alls are already looking forward to the final. They seem to think Donegal are an irritatating distraction on the boys in blue's march to take Sam. I am sure the Dublin management and players do not buy into this rubbish. Pity some of their supporters do. In 1992 I remember the same media nonsense being spouted. Deja Vu.

Real bonus territory for us now but great to be there!! The Donegal defensive unit is as good as exists this year and I'd be confident that we will do a good job in limiting Dublins scores. Our problems will be our midfield and our lack of scoring forwards. Murph can only do so much and we don't have one other forward that will chip in with 3-4 points. That will be our undoing. While it's fine to talk about our defensive system, Dublin have a pretty good one of there own going. Murph will have 3-4 players converging on him everytime and that alone will mean we will not score enough to win.
I hope we can put in a strong performance and leave croker happy that it's been a pretty brilliant year for us and year 1 of Jim's 5 year plan.

    Up Donegal.

I think the Dubs will be red hot favs for this, which suits us fine.
Dublin scraped passed Kildare as we did so the form book would suggest its a coin flip, the dubs have their eye on the final now against Kerry,

be some surprise 2c Donegal v mayo final

hi there pat spillane, the league matters very little come championship, i remember us beating kerry, tyrone, dublin comfortably in the league back in 2000 (i was at them all too) and then losing first match in connacht to leitrim at home:o:o

look at your own post, derry scored 2-12 against donegal in the league and only 8 points in the championship, that in itself says everything

and no need for snide remarks, go back and look at my posts you will see me posting about league games, under 21 games, minor league and club matches, i was in croke park a number of times in 2011 before a ball was kicked in anger in this years championship

The Sligo game was the first game in the league and the Laois game was pretty meaningless, we won the Division 2 final against them after that.

Tyrone 0-6, Kildare 1-5, Meath 0-9, Antrim 1-8 would also need to be considered. The Kildare and Tyrone games I'd take most from.

That's because they are, it'll be a practice game for us, not much more. Pity, because we could have done with playing against a better team. We'll just lob balls all day over your now well known crude, boring and skill-less defence tactic and Donegal on the attack is like watching individual headless chickens in a slow motion panic. We'll poke and prod ye, push ye round the field a bit, and call ye sheep shaggers to get you thick, you'll loose the cool as usual and foul and slip and slide all over the place while crying to the ref, and it's game over again as usual for Donegal. I'll be bringing my popcorn to hill 16 to watch this predictable, but funny, repeat show.

Have you ever played football at a decent level? It takes extreme discipline, fitness and communication to make any defensive system work well. Some people presume its just getting as many people behind the ball as possible but they tackle and cover men/space as a unit. The fact that their system has worked so well in the Championship shows how skilled it is.

Monty you absolutely make me laugh. Have you not learned in the past few seasons to stop being so cocky? Tyrone and Kildare are the only decent teams either of us have beat this year in the championship so for you to show such ignorance to Donegal's ability is incredible. It's people like you that mean most people outside of Dublin will support Donegal.

Will everyone please stop with this pressure is all on Dublin now bollox. Second year running that this team will contest an All Ireland semi. They learned a huge lesson against a more experienced team last year and that team are still the only side to beat them in over a year now. THEY KNOW WHATS REQUIRED.

Its uncharted territory for the Donegal lads so if any team is gonna crack with the pressure its Donegal. They won't though. When the whistle blows the 30 players will give it everything and all the ****e thats dribbled out here and in the press (weight of favouritism being my favourite) will mean nothing.

Gilroy has them nice and calm. Looking good.
