Tool on Sky news saying they are just kids, careful about rubber bullets and water canyons. F*cking bastards like this is ruining Europe. Throw him to the mob first and then may be he would appreciate rubber bullets. Sick!!

What's worse is you can be sure that the main talking points in the next few weeks will be how the police used excessive force when they do eventually do something, and there'll be a picture of someone getting hit by a cop and that the 'poor fellow' had been doing nothing wrong.
Thats fair enough, if someone is acting the maggot and destroying property then the police should go in and knock a few heads together. However if they go after an innocent bystander like in the Ian Tomlinson case then they should be held accountable.

And what they are doing now will change this?

Same boo-hoo bull**** over and over.

lol, they don't care about changing it.

Seriously, the vast majority of this thread have forgotten what it was like to be young, pissed off about stuff and stupid.

No point in talking sense and hoping these kids see the bigger picture, they won't. The bigger picture to them is taking shots at cops and robbing stuff.

The important aspect is to understand why it happened to stop it happening again...because the kids taking part don't really know what they are doing or why, they are just ripping **** up because it's fun.

Can't' be done, don't know the exact requirements but it is not easy to order the military to deploy against their own citizens. Now they could get their fire tenders out to help I guess, but that would be it for now.

Their not firing on them. Public disorder control is all. No Constitution in place and the queen still retains some power that is rarely used. How far can this be let go. This could very easily spread right across the UK unless it is stopped very soon.

It's basically a call to anarchy. See Guy Fawkes, Gunpower Plot and probably V for Vendetta.

Almost a noble idea, but I doubt any of these knobends currently starring on BBC and SKY have heard of any of the three of them.

A curfew put in place tomorrow would simplify things massively.
Would have said the same, but then it kicked of very early today in the middle of the afternoon.

Can't do a curfew for the whole day, so anyone wearing a hoody banned from the streets all day tomorrow might stop them. Or anyone that can't prove thehy have a job gets locked up if found on the streets?

That has to be BS, there's almost 10 times as many as that in Ireland

I'm sure someone got the comma in the wrong place, Ken Livingstone was on earlier talking about there being 32,000 police in the MET during his time as mayor.

Local radio station in Birmingham says there is no trouble at the hospital but there is a police presence at the hospital.

That might be taking into account training and equipment - only a small fraction of cops would be trained for riot duties, or be equipped for it. Sending out untrained, unprotected police officers to be stoned, petrol bombed and beaten by a mob would just absorp even more manpower in evacuating the wounded.

While I agree with the sentiment - just one injury of a child and lord knows the twats will use it as a further excuse to rally around and cause more trouble.

Its an impossible situation for the legal authorities.

I'm not a big fan of the scumbags myself. But their are reasons scumbags are what they are. It's not always black and white. Suspect we will be seeing more and more of these instances as the stock markets go's bollox up (happening as we speak, would be the headlines only for this) and debt takes over. The poor are getting poorer and their numbers are growing.
