    hi everyone.

i bought a sony ebook reader two weeks ago in sony centre in Dublin. but i got exactly the same one for my birthday last week.

the question is can i just return the previously purchased product to the store and get the money back? it was used about 1 hour.

    thanks

Did you open them both? If so why? You can bring them back but it's at the discretion of the store as to whether they'll take them. If they dont take it sell it on adverts.ie or similar site.

Of course you can bring it back.

However unless it is faulty or they have a money back/credit guarantee (check your receipt), then they are not obliged to replace/refund it.
When you called the Sony Centre shop in the past week, what did they say?

best you can hope for is store credit as a gesture of good will.
