Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Could anyone tell me the size of the typical broiler unit. (or a link) Need to draw up one on a very quick site plan for somebody and I understand it is about 270 ft long.

    Help greatly appreciated.

All depends on the number of birds been housed. A commercial boiler house for 25k birds is 220ft by 48ft. Same house would hold 12k free range. This is just the internal dimensions of the house. You would need to include concrete apron front and back of the house.

    Thanks for that.

I understand it is 30k birds so I presume I add the extra 20% in length which takes it up to 270. Its just to see how it will fit in a triangular field.
