Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Essence Mascara

Looking for a new mascara, but as it's something I don't use too much, I'd like to try a cheaper one. I've seen a lot of posters here recommending Essence mascaras, especially the pink multi action one. However, I got a tube of it a few months ago and really didn't like it, it was just too gloopy and clumpy for me, and gave me that dreaded spider look. But they do have a large enough range of mascara, so does anyone have any other recommendations? :) I'm not after anything too dramatic. My lashes are already quite long, and I find lengthening mascaras make them look a bit OTT. I'm really just looking for something that'll give a bit of volume and definition, but without looking clumpy and obvious. Thanks!

I use a mascara from Avon. It was about €7 and I love it. It's better than the Mac one I have. Can't remember the name but it has a big roundy plastic brush that really separates the eyelashes.

Essence do one called Lash mania which is also good but it made my eyes water so I couldn't use it.

Essence Maximum Definition is good, it's defines the lashes, but it smudges very easily.

No.7 Exceptional Definition Mascara is very good, extremly similar to Essence but it doesn't smudge and it's more expensive.

No.7 Exceptional Definition Mascara - One coat

Thanks :) Unfortunately I only know one Avon rep and I won't be seeing them for a while, but when I do I'll look into that!

Are your eyes usually sensitive? Mine are normally fine, but I do find that some products have made them very watery or irritated in the past.

Thank you, those pictures were very helpful! :) That Essence mascara does seem to be just the kind of thing I'm looking for, so I'll definitely consider that one anyway! The No. 7 one does look a bit better or something, but I don't really have too much to spare at the moment so I might look into that at a later stage.
