2010 saw the first time NASRPC did this and it was extremely successful with all of our clubs and sports being promoted to a very large audience.

We provided information on all the clubs and ranges within the NASRPC -
and indicated to people where there are clubs near them and what sort of activities may be on offer.
Many clubs provided us with promotional material to advertise themselves and their facilities and indeed got new members as a direct consequence.

We provided displays on all the sports administered by the NASRPC -
including Benchrest Rifle, Gallery Rifle, Sporting Rifle and Precision Pistol - the firearms used and the targets used. Obviously we were also promoting target shooting in general and directed those seeking information on other target shooting sports (clay pigeon, air rifle, full bore rifle, etc.) to clubs in their area that catered for those activities.

It was a very busy weekend - with many thousands of people coming in to see what we, our sports and our clubs are all about - but it was great craic and was great to see so many people coming in and inquiring about our sports and where there are target shooting clubs around the country.

So we are going to do it all again.

The Birr Game and Country Fair is being held over the weekend of August 27th & 28th.

Obviously we would like to have volunteers from our member clubs to help out over the weekend and promote their own clubs and facilities.
Indeed member clubs could have a presence in the stand all weekend if they wish.

So if you would like to help out, enquire about taking part in the stand or promoting your club, drop a line to declan.byrne@nasrpc.ie.

Obviously, if you are just there to enjoy the fair be sure to drop by anyway, say hello and see what the NASRPC is all about.
