Update 3.70 and RTE player?

Anyone else install this and lose their RTE player? I've heard the Brits lost ITV player and 4OD on theirs, now my whole TV bar is gone.

3.70 Firmware 190Mb I believe.

Qs they created a Tv/Video services tab now, is it not under there ?

Its there under TV/Services--->My Channels---> RTE Player.

I did the update there now and I dont even have a TV/Services section

OP, same thing happened to me, can't find it anywhere now!

It seems its a big issue but I have had no problems at all.

There's a thread on the Official PlayStation forums with some suggestions to fix the problem;

Try turnin off ur ps3 and turn it back on agn that's what i did and it showed up. What i hate about this update is the store it's 2 god damn slow and u can only download one at a time or it'll freeze.

BBC player is only available if you live in the UK/NI. There is a giant thread somewhere with ideas on how to get it in the South.

4OD yes as most of its programming is cleared for this country. BBC iPlayer, not a chance.

Eventually it came back, not sure why it disappeared after the update. Its fine now though.

If the RTE player doesnt show up after update, wait a while for it to appear and then go into the my channnels and use RTE player, it says you need software downloaded, download it and it should be there always then, thats what i did anyhow

I just left the ps3 on a while on it appeared, try palying a game for bit and checking if it comes back afterwards before you turn off ps3, and then make sure to update the rte palyer straight away by going into it and downloading the update

I just got mine back last night with help from the PS3 website.

Select and sign into the 'Play Station Home Website'.

Once here it will download/create automatically the new 'TVTV/Services tab'. Once complete select the tab and rte is here to download.

I tried that and everything else I could think of. It just came back on it's own. The comment above about selecting "my channels" was not possible as the TV service menu was not available. It took 2 days to come back all on it's own.

it works through the internet browser for me.
