You'll have to persevere with the Garmin site. You'll have to connect your device and look for the map updates, your particular model was sold for Europe only so it is important to check this out.

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134 Australia prices with presumably Australia maps reinstalled. The 1410 is discontinued but USD $180 for the 1450 which is pretty much the same.

You will be paying at least €80 or even €120 for you Australian map ~ it might make more sense to just arrive and buy in Australia.

    One cannot enter the 1410.

It's USD €150 dollars for Australia maps [full] ~~~ but you cannot use the 1410.

You can phone Garmin to confirm. Garmin make almost identical models for regional sales and the higher end product are international and can be used world wide.

The 1410 was for the UK and Ireland /

Possibly means the map is not suitable for that device.
Contacting Garmin directly or buying the map on a SD card (If the device supports that) would be the easiest option.
