Like everything else the truth is probably somewhere in the middle . I don't know the full story but the mention of repossession orders from 2004 suggests something is being sugar coated.
"They included Shane McLeish who punched at the security men and struck them with clubs or bars, Mr Moynihan said" I am little bit surprised this was printed it sounds like exaggeration. If people really were struck with clubs or bars there would be injuries. Evictions are sad situations and sooner or later people are going to get badly hurt on both sides. I feel sorry for the younger kids. Sometimes evictions need to happen . When i was in my twenties i got evicted for not paying rent . It was done by two lads with no paperwork. What they did was wrong in law but right in my opinion. I could have made a complaint about the few digs i got and their lack of paperwork but i understood the full facts and accepted my responsibility for causing the situation . By me not paying i was putting my landlord in financial hardship. I have also dealt with banks and solicitors firms who used underhand tactics and the legal system to bully me. I was lucky to get the issue resolved but i had to chain myself into my bank to force them to deal with me. There are 3 sides to most stories and some people are being led astray.

i'd say it would be more to the side of the story the examiner has published .. they would tend to deal in facts as opposed to emotions.

While it is sad that children get caught up in this; the blame for the kids being involved is down to the parents who choose to use them as emotional shields against the reality of the situation.

The parents have buried their heads in the sand / listened to snake oil merchants and this repossession can hardly be a surprise to them and they would have had plenty of time to prepare and ensure the children were not put in this position.

Some have definitely buried their heads in the sand and are so far under with arrears they think there is no way back, but that's only true for a small minority. Most have a way back but some of that minority aided by an incompetent government having given these few ringleaders all the ammunition they need to convince people to fight back in so many different ways. Conmen & bastards at every level of society and authorities do nothing. i could name at least 5 multiple property owners pushing these groups for their own benefit. Some of them are definitely white collar along with business men but they have figured out pre 2013 that the disillusioned peasants can be used as cannon fodder to stall evictions and they can also be used to slow up the whole legal system. Its a waiting game that will see them avoid bankruptcy with prices of properties shooting back up. Some no doubt are salting away cash from rentals and businesses and will jump ship with enough cash for a fresh start. One small timer with only 3 or 4 properties told me his family had grown accustomed to a nice lifestyle and he now used rent money to maintain it. He told me he has been raising a group so that when it's his turn for eviction he will have numbers to fight them off. All rental properties whose mortgages are not being paid despite being rented should automatically be repossessed within a year. I used to drink in Myos with the owners of the property J Squires and Gibney and couple of others retook after the elderly couple were evicted http://www.thejournal.ie/coyne-castleknock-pensioners-eviction-1639300-Aug2014/ The landlord had a few laundries and a few rental properties and was just manageing to hold on but when they stopped paying rent for years it put him in finacial trouble and he lost everthing. They spun it differently and make themselves look like heros fighting injustice . These ****ers would sell and use anyone to save their own bacon and anyone who like me refuses to support them is quickly destroyed on the internet with false stories spread far and wide , death threats and phone calls to families members just to intimidate. The garda offer little protection so the only options left are pointless civil cases against bankrupts or shut up and hope the attacks cease .I did shut up for my wife's sake 3 yrs of abuse had taken its toll but false stories grew wings and suddenly phones stop ringing. I became an outcast for simply advising people to be wary of the conmen. The very same people controlling some of the anti eviction groups have no problem putting their own tenants on the street if rents are not paid. The hub has its uses because the legal system offers little protection for cash strapped home owners who have been victims of banks underhand tactics. But it lost its direction no doubt its landlord was a strong influence and instead of fighting injustice it became all about avoidance and sticking it to the evil banks that destroyed the country. Then to top it off the media gave them credibility and airtime .

The lad at the Hub and other associated groups are not too happy with this article

    http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/courts/family-took-advantage-after-vigilantes-forced-security-out-of-their-repossessed-home-judge-said-35161461.html

Apparently it is totally false and the only account of what happened which can be believed is theirs.

Intersting to note the mention of weapons and vigilantes.

AET have claimed they got a strike out, on the same day Patricia McLeish stated she had no affiliation with the group. Also on the same day the judge granted continuation of an injunction effective from 5pm on Thursday. I found it amusing that the bank stated she had been led astray by this group. What has Denis O Brien got against these groups lol

As I recall with a lot of these groups a "strike out" based on their amazing lawyering skills usually occurs when they apologise to the court and pinky promise never to be in contempt again.

Man guilty of marketing industrial bleach as 'miracle cure'
    ...
During today’s hearing, Merlehan declared that he was a man and proposed to launch a counter claim. He asked everyone in the court if they knew of an injury he had done to him before collecting his belongings and leaving.

Stolen from the Property Pin, 12 years without payments and the house still isnt reposessed:
    http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/courts/family-took-advantage-after-vigilantes-forced-security-out-of-their-repossessed-home-judge-said-35161461.html
A woman's family had taken advantage of the fact a vigilante group forced out a group of security men who were employed to protect her repossessed home, a High Court judge said.
    SHARE
While Patricia McLeish disavowed any connection with the group, it was clear that members of her family were among those taking advantage of the incident when the group drove the security out with weapons, Mr Justice Robert Haughton said. Two of her sons are now in occupation of the house along with a third person, the court heard....
...Bank of Ireland Mortgage Bank obtained a possession order in 2004. After nearly 12 years of postponements and failed legal proceedings to stop the repossession by Mrs McLeish and her estranged husband Thomas, the bailiffs moved in earlier this month....
...The outstanding mortgage on the house was €139,000. The bank said while Mrs McLeish claimed it was now worth €190,000 and there would be no prejudice to the bank in refusing its injunction, she had since had a costs order made against her.

Great defence if you ever kill someone, just ask the court if you'd ever done anyone present an injury then walk out, dead men tell no tales.

The Court office in Limerick can no longer publish a list of repossession hearings due to the grief and extra Garda presence that is required to deal with various Freemen groups.

We also have a new group, Brian McCarthy is now "of the group Distressed Mortgage Holders". None of this is related to bad press and court orders which have been directed at other groups...

#Cowardice instead of dealing with the issue they try to cover it up. This will be seen as proof of cover up!

Surely that is failing to do justice in Public. The convenience of the court can't be more important than the constitution.

Yet somehow Court lists operated for some time prior to the adoption of the Internet as a means for disseminating them...

I don't think the simple publication of a list would constitute administration of justice in public, that would be more to do with the holding of a case in public as opposed to in camera surely, if that was the case and a list was administration of justice in public then the DC would also have to start publishing lists.

Sometimes crazy is dropped to get an average number on how stupid and gullible the current audience/followers truly are.
eg [enter conspiracy/scam/free energy machine/chemtrail analyzer app sellers here] who've got 1000 followers/subs.
However, they don't know what % are skeptics vs dedicated loons.

One way to find out; share or create an OTT crazy conspiracy.
If 80% of their followers agree, this reveals they've got a possible 200 enemies/shills etc in the camp that could spread dissent.

ID and block, now we're back to a 100% following of crazy, who've just proved they can be told'n'sold anything. :D

Usually happens before a planned scam via e-begging or donation appeal.

: Above is textbook audience feeler ops carried out by charlatans on youtube, very similar to what we see popping up now and then in the fb whacktivist community/cults.
Behind it all, those who spread the fearporn are sometimes the most paranoid of all.
Being exposed is their kryptonite. :(
