I'm a bit confused by this as well. I thought ejectment proceedings related to people who were renting a property. If a mortgage company was pursuing you it would be  possession proceedings.
It sounds to me like they were renting from a third party, that third party had the property re-possessed and the bank (read: vulture fund) took over as landlord - to whom the individuals in question failed to pay rent.
    It is  repossession case https://www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/courts/circuit-court/gilroy-accuses-sub-prime-lender-of-conspiracy-to-defraud-1.3424404

I feel sorry for his family, but I think that they have been totally taken in by him as well, and believe his guff. It's not going to end well....
It's a fairly common theme in these cases that the husband decides that the perfect outlet for his mid-life crisis is to pretend to be a lawyer. Herself usually has no part in the nonsense and I'd imagine is silently mortified.

In other news, Jerry Beades has decided to focus his attention on another swanky gaff which no doubt he'd regard as being "bog standard". A €1 million property in South Dublin, nothing paid in years, allegations of breaking and entering...he does know how to pick 'em.

    Dear God.

''The borrower, who has been adjudicated bankrupt, is alleged to have been a party with the woman in breaking into some of the properties, and was described by the receiver as a “fugitive” from efforts to serve contempt proceedings on him''.

''Opposing the appeal, Rossa Fanning SC, for the receiver, said the woman has no entitlement to the properties and was engaging in “calculated defiance” of court orders because the “carrot” was a €1 million house in south Dublin “for free”.

"The woman, representing herself, said she had been unable to get lawyers as she was told it would cost €60,000 to read back into 87 hearings since 2008 concerning these properties but she was assisted by businessman Jerry Beades."

For a businessman Jerry seems to have very little going on if he can make the time to read up on all 87 hearings that he has no interest in.

Super Ben has just been on the auld facebook looking for some woman's address so he can do some sort of Corpus Christi and get her freed .. what a man of the people .. representing people who he doesn't even know !!! .. you'd swear he was only doing it for his own publicity or something.

The Tiger Reborn facebook page it like a full on election campaign for Ben .. curiously it always seems to have his videos and updates ahead of the curve and their political, religious, moral and 'legal' views are identical to the caped wonder.

This type of "assistance" would appear to be Jerry's full time gig these days. If you ever want to find him, just spend more than an hour in one of two pubs within shouting distance of the Four Courts. You'll hear him on the phone before you see him.

Always worth a chuckle to recall Jerry Beades markedly different attitude to debt when he is the one owed a few quid.

Some of his debtors could have been down to their last bog standard penthouse on floor 155 of the Burj, but that wasn't going to sway Jerry.

    Women and Mothers.

Very emotive click bait these days.

All them thousands a women and chiselers at risk in the ''tsunami of evictions'' that never quite arrives. But the threat is enough to make a blind-man sign on the dotted line.

I wonder if the property on Little Mary Street is the former Global HQ of the Hub?

10 years without repayment, like so many leading lights in the pseudo-legal world. You have to wonder where the rental money was going. I note he's also legally represented at this point.

The current edition of the Phoenix gives the street the property is on. Let's just say counsel for the bank may have been slightly on the low side when he called it a "€1m house".

The Hub have gone from misinterpreting the mediation act to out right lying about its effect. Its either they are completely stupid or just outright lying. Given people false hope just to keep the donations coming in. They are low.
