93 years ago, a Wexford Stoker in the Navy died of wounds and was buried in St Ibars. He was given a full military funeral. The Army and Naval officers moored there attended his burial also. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission had him listed on the Brookwood Memorial for some reason, after repeated attempts to get them to accept their error this poor forgotten Sailor has been accepted and today he is now listed in their database as buried in Wexford Town. While this was going on the information was sent the information to the Wexford People as some of the main 'evidence' came from their archives and they were not interested enough to reply, however he is now recognised by the CWGC as a Wexford burial and in time will get a Commonwealth Wargraves Commission headstone, an honour that he should have had for the past 90 years.
    Cheers.
    Tom.
