    Hi
I'm upgrading some wiring in a milking parlour at moment and need advice on the regs regarding an emergency stop fitted in milking area pit, does it stop just the milking machine motor or does it need to cut all parlour power.Cant find the answer in the current regs ,complicated as usual.

the rules have sections on different types of switching

but they couldn't deal with every scenario

maybe the section on milking parlours has something

Each motor needs an isolator near it for maintenance. If you want to put an emergency stop in the pit you can it is only for the milking machine.
