Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

OP, don't be lazy. Put up a few pics and specs and then the anointed one shall emerge. ;)

On a more helpful note 'Attempt' is a stupid name and implies defeat.

The KTM is on the big ring so will go faster. :)

The Cube pictured is a triple, which thinking of the Wall last weekend, can have its uses. I like the look of the Cubes even though Attempt is a pretty odd choice of name.

Are you sure you can get the Attempt? They were pretty much unavailable in Ireland since May when I was looking for one. I was told September was the earliest and then next year!!

Just from looking at the pics, the KTM seems a better spec.

If you could cut and paste the spec details it would make it easier to judge.

There's not much in it. One isn't miles better than the other. Both are good bikes.

Just get the one you like the look of.

ok thanks for options, im 5foot 8"

    I have the choice of a 52cm or a 55cm frame ....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,165 ✭✭✭insinkerator

For what its worth, I was looking at both of them, ended up getting a Canyon Roadlite 7.0

Not that I want to complicate the decision any more ;)

Can you try the 52 and 55 for size? either one could be fine for you. Both actually might feel ok, so its a judgement call really. Here's someone with the same dilemma.............. http://forums.roadbikereview.com/bikes-frames-forks/size-matters-241541.html

.......so we're none the wiser really, but you have at least narrowed it down to the two most likely sizes. Test ride both and don't let a bike shop sell you something that doesn't feel right just because its the only one they have left.

I got a KTM Strada 3000 (the big differences from the KTM Strada 2000 being the Mavic Aksium versus Shimano wheels and the Ultegra versus 105 groups).

I'm happy with the bike it's good.

I do think that given your options I would go for the KTM Strada 2000.

    Good frame, good components.
