Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I'm doing the same thing Sunday (in Wicklow). I'm a regular roadie so have some gear already, but I don't have my own MTB. Assuming you're going to be out for a few hours and get dirty;

    • spare tubes/tyre levers/pump - should really be provided by the bike hire folks
    • helmet - ditto but bring your own if you have one
    • footwear - if you don't have proper MTB shoes, then pick runners with a firm sole but which you won't mind getting dirty
    • padded shorts preferably
    • rain jacket
    • bottles (bidons)
    • grub (rolls etc)
    • towels & water for cleaning muck off yourself afterwards
    • tracksuit or something similar to change into (unless you want to destroy your good threads)
    • small backpack if you want to carry your jacket etc with you
    Enjoy

    A powerlink and a chain tool are very useful things to have in case of snapping a chain.
