Temp conversion for fan oven

I was baking scones today which I havent done in a long time. All the recipes I came across gave temp for normal oven. I was doing a big batch so used the fan oven. The temp on the recipe I used was 230C I lowered that by 20C for the fan oven. I felt that this may have been a tad too high. Can anyone recommend the best temp to use when baking scones in a fan oven.

Depends on the brand, if you've the manual it should be in there. Usually its between 10-20%

Depends on the oven but I generally do scones at 180C in a fan oven for 10 to 15 mins and they're grand, just keep an eye on them and if they're browning too fast turn them over for the last few minutes.

yeah but it depends on the scone recipe you're using. Some take 10 minutes, some take 40
