Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Aside from his goals (the second of which, as stated above, was excellent) he also played very well as the deep lying striker. Villa moved the ball very well at times, probably the best I've seen this year, and Robbie was usually at the centre of affairs. Villa also FINALLY for once had a long shot threat from outside the box, which opened up gaps for Bent.

Apparently villa is trying to convince him not to go back to LA.

    Tough choice.

    Another dream move? :pac:

He surely must be entitled to royalties from Gift Grub at this stage!

    Well I know.

    Birmingham - los angeles

    malibu - solihull

    Oh the dilemma...

But he can always sell out later, there's always a place in the USA, they'll take almost anyone but if the EPL is calling, you'd be a fool not to take it.

To be honest we only started doing that when Frimpong went off, and even more so when Henry was sent off. Villa were shocking in the first half.

Keane on any kind of deal longer than may would be stupid for villa. I'd gladly hold onto him for the season though

Oh ffs, give the man a break

He should return to LA. Best decision in every sense. The contrast between how he looked on Saturday and how he looked with West Ham speaks for how positive the LA move has been for him. If he goes back, he'll be sharp and confident when the Euros starts too, as he'll be playing every minute over there and making a big impact.

My criticism has been brutal and relentless

Seems like you are taking exception to the poster rather than the comments tbh

Far from it. This 'dream move' retort every time he's mentioned is getting a bit tiresome at this stage thats all

In fairness, he was struggling with injuries and fitness at West Ham. I seem to remember him making substitute appearances and clearly not looking fit. At this stage in his career, Robbie wants to be playing often enough that he stays sharp, but not so often that he'll get injured or be put under too much strain. I think the two months in England at a Premier League club that actually has a chance of winning a few games is perfect for him.

I'm sure there wont be many LA games on this season at a reasonable hour for us Irish. But they are playing against DC United now if you want to watch Keane.

It's good he is getting a lot of playtime now, imagine what state he'd be in if he was sitting on the bench only playing full games for his country.

Even if he's sitting on the bench he'd probably still be in California...

    Robbie Keane scored last night.

Also paid tribute to the Irish fan who died in Poland.

It was a good goal to do it on too. Nice footwork even if it was shocking defending.

nice to see Keane putting up the T Shirt ! No mention from the commentators though.

He must have expected to score, the standard in the MLS does look a lot less btw.

It's a random mixture of Premiership to League 2 level players competing in matches played out in stifling heat and humidity. The level and pace of the game is lower.

    Still entertaining though. :)

Nice gesture from Keane. He said he rang James's father to pass on his condolences.
