Hi guys, anyone know if I can have an Ethernet connection to the internet and turn of wifi signal completely. I have one of those black eircom modem / wifi router things.

Also, does anyone have the website/ settings to be able to change the wifi frequency. Which is the optimum frequency, do higher frequencies pose a greater health risk?

Its only a matter of turning off the wireless network in your router/modem.

http://192.168.1.254 is the usual address for an Eircom model. It should be available under the wireless heading.

You can use the same page to change the channel that your router broadcasts on. 1, 6 or 11 are the usual ones.

Plenty about health risks to be found on Google.
