    Hi guys,

just tried to power up my PS2 (model SCP-30003), and it won't receive power.

Any idea whether this can get repaired in Dublin?
Also, how do I get the disc inside out?

    Cheers.

Have you tried the obvious of changing the plug and seeing if it's just the fuse that has blown?

If it's not that then it's probably the power supply. That should be easily fixed. Buy a broken PS2 from ebay. Nearly every broken PS2 will have laser issues but the power supply should be fine. It's just a case then of opening the PS2 up and swapping the power supplies. There should be guides online or else some people on the console mods forums who will help you out.

If it is not just a blown fuse id just buy an other ps2 as you can get them for about 20 euro ive seen them for sale in gamestop a few times for that.
