With a HKC SecureWatch alarm is it possible to turn down/off the voice? e.g. on arming it announces "System Arming" and when turning off it says "System Unset".
This can be problem at night or early in the morning when others are asleep in the house.

It is not something I would recommend to do as the keypad gives indications of faults by buzzing and coming in you will think the alarm is not set. Up to you though :D
You could try a bit if tape over the speaker to see if it turns it down to a tone that will suit you.
To stop it all together you could disconnect the speaker in the keypad. There is a screw under neat, remove this. Push in the plastic release at the bottom and the keypad should release towards you from the bottom. The alarm will activate at this stage so press 0 and your code to disarm. The speaker cable will be holding the two parts together. Disconnect from keypad PCB and put back together.

Then if you want it fixed professionally, get onto your installation company. There is an option in the system wherby this voice function can be turned off while keeping the buzzer function working.

Infairness it is something which can be done over the phone, or a guy from the company can call over and reprogram it, takes about 30 seconds. I think though charging a usual service call rate for this is wrong so maybe get them to check the entire system while they are there.
