Folks I'm looking for a place to stay after a day at te races in the curragh. Not familiar with the area so we are looking for somewhere close to the town so we can head out after the races too. Any suggestions would be great thanks.

the standhouse is literally on the race course. keadeen is supposed to be nice too. wouldn't know any b&b's.

The standhouse has long been closed down. When you say town do you mean Kildare or Newbridge.

Mcgraths b/b on the Athgarvan road in Newbridge is exellent and is only 100 yards from Main St. overlooking the river. Also the Gables b/b and leisure center also on the Athgarvan road is top class with swimming pool. Hotel Keadeen is a top class hotel but is expensive especially on race days.
