Giro Air Attack Helmet for €107.99 from Evans, limited sizes https://www.evanscycles.com/giro-air-attack-2015-helmet-EV225133

Use code 10CLEAR to get extra 10% off basket. The eye shield is €19.99 from sigmasports, so you can effectively get an Air Attack Shield for under €130.

Careful, a replacement shield is not compatible with all air attack helmets. The air attack is a stand alone aero helmet which does not accept the shield. it does not have any metallic inserts that allows the shield to attach magnetically.

Ah balls... Off to check out Evan's and Sigma's returns policies....

All is not lost, the wind tunnel tests show the shield does not offer much of an aero improvement on the air attack without a shield. (The debate about whether the Air Attack is actually any good is another question)

I bought the Air Attack without a shield (Amazon offer on Black Friday) and have improvised a solution with either magnetic tape or cheap rare-earth magnets which are actually more secure than than Giros own system.

Aksiums back on the CSS weekly deal for €149 today: http://www.cyclesuperstore.ie/shop/pc/deal.asp

Not a madly spectacular price since the aksium ones are 167 from CRC (in fact if they are in fact aksium race-branded then they may be a few years old), but on the off chance someone is about to pull the trigger I said I'd post it here.

Just to warn as well that they don't mention being 11 speed compatible and despite their claim of 215, I think they typically sell for 170 to 190 on their site.

Mavic wheels (inc aksiums) have been 11spd compatible for over 10years now

3 TrackR.com bravo mini USB tracking devices for under €60 delivered to Ireland.

They're normally $29 + $10 shipping, but if you buy 2 you get one free making it $58 + delivery which works out at just under €60.

You can increase savings bu buying 3 and getting 2 free or buying 4 and getting 4 free.

You can just track your bike with an app on your phone. The trackers can be fitted under your saddle.

Also handy for putting into baggage or backpacks in case they get swiped.

As I'm very new to all this, forgive me if they're not bargains. Just wanted to post the link in case it was useful - you've been very helpful to me since I started cycling a few months back :)

Should go without saying, but please do not use this thread to promote a business you own or are associated with.

Yup, also have a Galibier Mistral - superb piece of gear. Only thing is that they only have small left in stock. Great if that's your size - only £50. Bargain.

The new version of the Mistral is due next month if the small doesn't suit. Right through the worst of the winter I wore one with a thermal base layer. Thinking of packing a s.s. jersey as well on Sunday for changing into when/if the day warms up.
